Kia ora! Welcome! A little about me and what I do ...
I have been offering spiritual direction in Auckland for around 25 years. I find it a huge privilege to walk alongside people who want to talk about their spiritual lives. I also offer supervision to people in various forms of Christian ministry, including spiritual direction, pastoral ministry, leadership and chaplaincy. From time to time I lead contemplative retreat days as well as longer silent retreats. I did my spiritual direction training with Spiritual Growth Ministries and am now the Assistant Coordinator for this same training programme. I am committed to developing my own practice as a spiritual director and supervisor. To that end I have my own regular spiritual direction and supervision. I am also a member of the Association of Christian Spiritual Directors in New Zealand (ACSD) and Spiritual Directors International (SDI). Some years ago I completed a postgraduate diploma in narrative therapy. While I don't work as a counsellor/therapist, I do incorporate some of the insights of narrative therapy in the way I work. This is reflected in my tagline, Listening for hope, and is the focus of my academic work and writing. |
My partner Sarah and I live in the leafy west Auckland suburb of Titirangi ('fringe of heaven') where we are both involved in our local Anglican church.
